SCTV-nominations-Best Community project filmOn Saturday 7th July 2012 the Jubilant Stories team ran a street convening in Stroud. The idea behind this project is “to get as many people in Stroud sharing stories of friends and neighbours coming together to make life better. These stories have gone unnoticed for some time, so we want to put them in the spotlight and share them to offer inspiration for other communities to take more citizen led action. It really important the community of Stroud own these stories as it is part of the town’s identity.”

Outside Woodruffs cafe (thank you Woodruff) there was a small sofa as a prop to encourage people to share stories. Richard Holmes, the Jubilant Stories Project Manager along with community arts legend Jo Bousfield and more volunteers all met to collect stories. Philip Booth from Stroud Community TV was there to support the project and record a short film about the morning.
