Molly talks about the threats posed by climate change for the South West of England and how she hopes the COP21 talks will result in a binding agreement to keep the planet below 2 degees of warming and lead us to a low carbon future. On her Facebook she writes: “I have made a short film/statement about the risks posed to the South West by climate change and my hopes that the upcoming COP21 talks in Paris will result in a binding agreement to keep the planet below 2 degrees of warming. The South West can lead the way in demonstrating how to transition to a green economy. Our ‘Power to Transform the SW’ report earlier this year concluded that as a region we can produce 100% of our energy needs from renewables, creating 122,000 new quality jobs in the process and adding £14bn to the regional economy”.
