ONLY BULGARIA BEATS BRITAIN FOR TV ADDICTS:  It has been reported that a third of us watch at least three hours a day compared to just 13% of Germans who spend so much time in front of the box. Only Bulgarians are bigger TV addicts, according to a survey of 30 European countries. However researchers did not ask about viewing habits at weekends, when many watch even more TV. Yet despite this, Britons are among the least likely to watch news and current affairs, with 13 per cent not watching any during the working week. Only in Israel, with 16 per cent, and Slovenia, with 15 per cent, do more people avoid news and current affairs on the box than in the UK. When we first launched Stroud Community TV we were acutely aware of the damage too much TV watching can do; indeed we even have a section on our website with reasons for saying NO2TV: http://stroudcommunity.tv/no2tv/
