The Stroud News and Journal report on the Nailsworth couple that have already raised £250,000 to find a cure; read more about them at: http://www.stroudnewsandjournal.co.uk/news/15201995.Determined_Nailsworth_couple___s_inspirational_battle_to_help_find_a_cure_for_their_son___s_rare_and_fatal_disease/
Robyn is a mother to Felix, one of the World’s Strongest Boys. Felix has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, an aggressive muscle wasting disease that largely affects boys. It’s the most common genetic killer of children and most won’t live past their twenties. We believe that living with Duchenne makes our children anything but weak. It makes them incredibly strong. We call them the WORLD’S STRONGEST BOYS. And with your help, we can save them.
In Robyn’s video she discusses her son’s diagnosis and the impact of the disease on their family life. It’s a devastating situation but, rather than just accept it, Robyn, her son and her whole family resolved to fight it.
How can you help? We’re asking you to use your muscle, to help boys losing theirs. You can simply make a donation here. You can fundraise for Duchenne UK so we can save the World’s Strongest Boys to prevent any other families from having to live through this. You can join one of our fundraising events, or host your own event. For more guidance please download our Fundraising Pack. Duchenne UK is a lean, ambitious and highly focused charity with a clear vision; to fund and accelerate treatments and a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy within a decade.
