Saskia Griffiths-Moore is an emerging independent English artist. Her voice is often compared to Eva Cassidy, Joan Baez & Joni Mitchell, and something more besides…This is Saskia’s version of Eva Cassidy’s cover of ‘Fields of Gold’ originally by Sting. She learnt it as a teenager at Brockwood Park School, from one of the mature students there, and she has played it ever since, often performing it live. This is the first video of her performing it, recorded live at the Barn Owl Trust. For more about saskia see: www.saskiagm.com
Note on the Barn Owl Sessions: Kindly recorded with the permission and help of the Barn Owl Trust (www.barnowltrust.org.uk) near Ashburton. The beautiful tree pictured behind Saskia is a memory tree, en-leaved with the names of people who have passed on but left something to the trust. To find out more about their wonderful work you can visit their website here: http://www.barnowltrust.org.uk/.
