In this film hear more about plans for Stroud Apple Town and meet Germany’s Lord of the Apples Eckart Brandt, who was in Stroud on Friday 10th August. Eckart is a knowledgeable and popular apple expert and historian, who was visiting England from Germany and shared some of his thoughts about his 20 years of work preserving and popularising traditional north German apple varieties in the Hamburg area. Film by Philip Booth – apols for quality – had small digital camera as hadn’t intended to film this event! This film was updated in May 2013.

Very good film .it’s always good to hear people enthusiastic about their work and Eckart takes that one step further with his involvement in community projects .I have wanted to visit Hamburg for sometime this gives me an extra reason to go. Martin Hayes Orchardist
