On Saturday 15th September, Stroud and District Access Group held the first Liberty Festival in Gloucestershire – to celebrate the abilities of people with disabilities, showcasing what we can do, rather than what we cannot do.

The day started at 10am on the forecourt of the Subscription Rooms with a launch by Rob Rees, Cotswold Chef and CEO of Wiggly Worm, supporting the National Star College’s Star Bistro. In this film by Philip Booth (with BSL) we see some of the discussion with Mark Woodward from the Police and others about the Disability Hate Crime film that was launched during the afternoon in BSL. That film can be seen at: http://stroudcommunity.tv/glos-police-disability-hate-crime-bsl-version/ – see that link for links to more films about hate crime.
