We follow

There are loads of great channels based in our Valleys, and we’ve gathered some together for you to explore, arranged in themes. (So we wrote the names down on bits of paper, then Oscat played with them…)

We also want to focus on a few of the film-makers whose work we’ve shared down the years.

Peter Richardson

If you know our history, you’ll know that Peter helped create Stroud Community TV, and remains one of its directors. You can see some of his films here.

Philip Booth

If you know our history, you’ll know that Philip helped create Stroud Community TV, and for many years was Oscat’s chief wrangler. He works part-time with a Gloucestershire charity, helping people imagine and build more welcoming and inclusive communities, and has a long history of community engagement beyond Stroud Telly with Transition Stroud, establishing new allotments, being a Green District councillor, the Stroud Film Festival and much more.

Philip loves capturing stories and has made over 400 local films. His passion is capturing the magic, immediacy and flavour of local life, in particular encouraging others to help film and tell their stories. You can see some of his films here. He has his own picks on a YouTube playlist, and a blog about his journey with cancer.
