Eye contact is imperative when communicating with a person with hearing loss. Whether someone is profoundly deaf or hard of hearing they rely heavily on eye contact to understand what is being said. If a person is looking away during a conversation key bits of information can be missed. Remembering to maintain eye contact will not only give deaf people access to your services but could save a marriage!!
