The first song from Nailsworths’ Russian Flying Squirrel. In Autumn 2015 the band did something completely out of the ordinary and out of character – they had never played a gig – but they saw an advert on FB for BBC Four’s UK’s Best Part-Time Band and thought, why not? Tonight at 9pm they are featured on the BBC4 show UKs Best Part Time Band.

I saw this band tonight and thought their sound is beautiful, I was shocked they didn’t get through to the final. The band’s chosen were more to the taste of the guest judge tonight. This band is made up of real artists who’ve made music for the sake of it, they’re class and deserve to be recognised and acclaimed.

All the bands featured were great. I was surprised they didn’t go through, too, but the guest judge had no other way of choosing other than by the way of his own taste. It’s a shame all the fifteen bands chosen by the three guest judges couldn’t have gone on. Hopefully after the programme aired, they will all get better opportunities.
