Our supporters

Stroud Community TV is actively supported by Transition Stroud. You might’ve heard of us through them, you may’ve watched films that we’ve shared that feature their projects. We’re pulling in the same direction, so we work together where we can.

Transition Stroud started up in 2006, and aims to help Stroud adapt to the current and coming huge changes facing the entire world. We both believe that people can make the future better. At Stroud TV we do that by helping people share films. As Transition Stroud say,

Anyone can be involved – Everyone is needed.

Transition Stroud believes we have to and we can change the world, whatever anyone else may claim. That we don’t just have to save the world, with all its faults and injustices, that in saving the world we can make it better. Click to see the films it showed at its 2018 agm if you’re not yet convinced.

We’d also like to thank

We’ve had the frequent and vital support of Stroud Town Council, the parish council at the heart of Stroud and our five valleys. The Council have helped us with grants and facilities, notably for our Awards ceremonies – it’s the Council who have in the past helped us book Lansdown Hall, for example.

We’ve also had great support from the Stroud Film Festival. For a fortnight each March Stroud and the Five Valleys host an eclectic mix of film events spread across a dozen venues and our annual Awards is one of them. There literally is something for everyone, which we love because a thing for everyone is what we aim to be.
