Update 20th Aug 2015 – here it is Spoonivision: https://youtu.be/LwrASGJbM4g
This features Stroud’s Geoff Hilton from Slimbridge WWT. Slimbridge WWT write: We have some very exciting news to share with you. For a number of years we’ve been fighting to save spoon-billed sandpipers, or spoonies, from extinction. This August we’ll be hosting a world-first live broadcast from the spoon-billed sandpiper facility at WWT Slimbridge, where we have a protected ‘ark population’ of 24 spoonies.
It’s called Spoonievision, and will be presented by TV’s Kate Humble! On Wednesday 19th August, Kate and our WWT experts will bring you a behind-the-scenes exclusive, along with news from this year’s headstarting efforts in Russia. Can a small population of spoon-billed sandpipers bring to life a new generation and a triumph for conservation?
