David Drew MP writes: The government has just cancelled 55,000 non-urgent operations, and Prime Minister Theresa May said this was ‘part of the plan.’ Cancelling operations has a real impact on patients and their families, their quality of life and ability to work – and cannot be a solution to our underfunded NHS. Not only has the government failed to plan ahead, it seems willing to let our NHS crumble.
