David then expands his view to the importance of Trade Unions and explains that the Labour Party was born out of the TU movement. David believes that the 2015 Labour Government needs to return its affiliation to and confirm its belief in the importance of the Trade Union movement to British society. The terrible news of the closure of City Link, announced on Christmas Day, only confirms this view.
