Ecotricity write: Simon Pickering, our Principle Ecologist, went to visit Severn View Primary Academy earlier this week to find out how they’re preparing for the @RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch. Around 500,000 people took part in the last birdwatch, and getting involved this weekend is simple. Grab a good spot with a clear view of the garden, watch the wildlife for one hour and record every bird you see. Then just visit the RSPB’s website to share your results. As the format of the survey stays the same the scientific data can be compared year-on-year, allowing the RSPB to create a ‘snapshot’ of bird numbers across the UK.
