Ethemia talking about their amazing Special Sofa Sessions

EthemiaHere’s a short interview by Philip Booth with Cirencester acoustic duo, ‘Ethemia’ made up of Michaela Mott & Berny Poulton. They perform something unique called, ‘Special Sofa Sessions’ which involves them going to people’s homes (incl Stroud) who can’t otherwise make it to their gigs due to illness or disability. They perform 30/40 min set unplugged for free to anyone who feels they would benefit from live music. They have performed to a whole range of people including cancer patients of all ages in their own home & in hospitals.

Ethemia have recorded in Stroud and been together 3 years, performed over 500 gigs and appeared on over 40 radio stations including BBC Introducing Musicians Masterclass, BBC 6 Music, Local BBC Radio and featured on BBC  Radio 2 and performed several times live on The Gaby Roslin Show, BBC London.
