Emily is a film about the progression of emotions and the development of a relationship between an intelligent girl and her kidnappers by former Wycliffe college pupil, Guy Davies. This film is a short trailer with an appeal for funds. Guy writes: “I thoroughly intend to put my audience both in the shoes of the victim and the kidnappers throughout the film, a dual perspective they are perhaps slightly less familiar with.”
They are set to begin filming this short movie ‘Emily’ in and around the town at the end of March after raising more than £6,000 for the project. There is true, raw local talent here in what looks like the makings of an excellent film. Here’s hoping some people or businesses put their hands in their pockets and show support for these young people and put them on the road to full time professional film making!
