Stroud Hustings: Highlights from question on how to oppose austerity?

Stroud’s parliamentary candidates were questioned on a variety of subjects at Stroud Against the Cuts’ austerity election hustings. The meeting was chaired by Rev. Simon Topping at the Old Town Hall on Monday 23rd March. In this film you see the candidates respond to a question on how to oppose austerity. The platform was made up of:

Sue Powell – Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition,
Sarah Lunnon – Glos County councillor – Stroud District Green Party,
David Drew – Stroud District councillor – Labour Party,
Caroline Stephens – UKIP,
Haydn Jones – Conservative district councillor for Severn standing in for Neil Carmichael MP,
Adrian Walker-Smith – Lib Dem,
Lizzie Fletcher – standing in for Richard Wilson of MyStroudMP campaign
