SLAD PROTESTORS upped their campaign against 50 new homes being built in a county beauty spot after hearing plans for the estate would go ahead (September 2011). In August 2011 Stroud District Council’s planning committee refused Barratt Homes’ application and the house builder had until 10 February 2012 to appeal.  Since this Newsnight clip it looks like the development will not go-ahead as no appeal was made.
