LarksThis project has now been funded. See more about this project:

Here’s what they said earlier this year: This video is hopefully going to help us to raise our target of £2000 to buy all the equipment we need to run our classes. Filmed February 18th by Ben Jarlett.

We are just launching School of Larks – a new creative circus school based in Stroud and Nailsworth. We have a wonderful pool of skilled teachers and aim to offer weekly classes to adults and children in static trapeze, silks, rope, juggling, movement, acro balance,  hula hooping, circus skills and more.

We need funding to buy aerial (trapeze, ropes and silks) equipment and then to get them professionally rigged. We also need a 3 more crash mats.

We want to give adults and children the opportunity to try something that they might only have dreamed of doing – or possibly not even thought of doing!

Have you ever done an aerial class?

There is something very compelling about being on a trapeze and trying to master a move. It needs focus and concentration. You are working physically very hard and yet your mind is having to coordinate where your body is in relation to the bar and ropes. Then creativity comes to play as you try to make the ‘shape’ of what you are doing look beautiful.

Circus skills in general have great educational and psychological benefits. They can develop self confidence, coordination, balance, flexibility, strength and body control.

Circus skills are an art but also a sport therefore they combine physical exercise and creativity in a very effective way.

Please help us to raise enough money to buy the equipment we need.

Thank you for taking the time to read about our project and thank you for your support.
