I love simple recipes with great flavour. This soya chunk Manchurian can be a starter if cooked dry or quick dinner as a gravy served with noodles or fried rice.

Soya chunks are high in protein and great meat alternative, so perfect for meat free Monday’s.


ClearSpring Organic Soya chunk – 1/2 Cup
Oil -1 table spoon
Spring onion – 2-3 no’s
Ginger- 1table spoon (finally chopped)
Garlic -1 table spoon (finally chopped)
Onion- 1small finally chopped
Clear spring Organic- Soya sauce -1 table spoon (add more if desired)
Clear spring Organic Vinegar -1 table spoon
Organic corn starch – 2 table spoon if wanted gravy (To make it dry use about 4 teas spoon,2 teaspoon for marination and 2 teaspoon to add later)
Green chillies -1 or 2 (depends on the heat)
Salt to taste
Brown sugar- 1teas spoon
Black peppercorn-1 teas spoon

To marinate :

ClearSpring Organic Soya chunk – 1/2 Cup (Soaked and drained)
Corn starch -1 table spoon
Black peppercorn- 1 teas spoon
Salt to taste

To serve:

Serve with ClearSpring Organic Udon Noodles and spring onion greens.

Soak the soya chunk with hot water and leave about 10-15 minutes.

Finally chop the green chillies,onion, ginger, garlic and spring onion.
Keep the spring onion bulb and greens separate.

Cook the marinated soya chunks with a little bit of oil and in the same pan add more oil, then add green chillies, ginger, garlic and onion.

Once the mixture softened, then add soya sauce, vinegar, then the rest of the corn starch with little bit of water. Finally add a sugar to elevate the deep flavours of soya sauce.

Serve with Udon noodles and garnish with spring onion greens on top.

(You could even add more vegetables like diced peppers, cabbage, etc…)
