The Andean Flamingos have certainly given us colourful #?SignsOfSpring with their courtship display. The taller birds are the males and these are the birds which chivvy the group along! The birds have turned a fantastic purple-pink colour ahead of breeding season. Slimbridge has the largest captive flock of this species anywhere in the world. Andean flamingos are listed as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List and are the rarest type of flamingo that we keep.
